Simmons Rifle Scope Review I bought my first Simmons scope about twenty years ago. It was my first high priced rifle scope for hunting. I think it cost just over three hundred dollars way back then. It was not the top of the line among scopes. My eyes were better, and the white tail classic Simmons did a lot for me. I shot more moose with that gun and scope than any other I ever owned. What I liked best was the way The Simmons fit the gun. The scope mounted on low profile mounts and hugged the rifle barrel.
Simmons Rifle Scope Review
I used the Simmons white tail Classic for about fourteen years. Until On one very cold morning I broke the scope . I had thought it was frozen up and would not dial through the powers. It was thirty below so I just assumed the scope had froze and I tried to force it.That broke the casing of the scope and I did not figure it out until to late. I had used the scope for so long and it had just never let me down before . I still think it was the best deal I could have got at the time and served me very well.
I may not want to buy another scope like that again but just because I have different needs now. I would defiantly recommend starting out with a scope of this type. I shot a five and a half inch group at a thousand yards with this scope. I shot my first long range shot and dropped a bull moose at over five hundred yards with the Simmons white Tail classic scope.
