Nikon Monarch Riflescope 3-12×42
Monarch Scope Review hi I like the look of this scope. With Amazon pricing and a top of the line Nikon scope, it is not going to be a hit or miss purchase. I have read all the Nikon reviews I could find, and it gets a solid five star rating and no unsatisfactory reviews. I found with leading brand names it is rare you can get a bad deal. Nikon optics is world famous and for many convincing reasons.
Monarch Scope Review
Monarch Scope Review from the Nikon Monarch Riflescope 2-8×32 Matte BDC. The Nikon Monarch looks like a compact scope that would be better for a mid range caliber rifle.
The Nikon 8415 4-16×50 Monarch X Riflescope (Mildot Reticle) (Black) this is a long range Rifle scope with great light gathering qualities and target settings by the look of it. There is a lot of terrific options in the Monarch line. I am sure you can find the one that will fit your gun and your hunting needs.
What to check for on buying your new Monarch is if you willneed to go to higher scope mounts for the 50 mil front objective. Most scopes with a 40mil objective will fit standard mounts. But it is best to ask at a website or gun shop first. The reason being a lot of times you only get to talk to a sales rep, and they are not always up to date on all aspects of what works.
Most times buying my scopes I could tell if I needed new mounts. My advice to any scope buyer do not put your expensive scope on cheap mounts. I use proper Leupold scope mounts on most of my guns. Quality mounts only cost a little more. The result is my scopes do not come loose or have problems. There are a lot of great builders of mounts. I just tend not to go for the cheap ones because to many times over the years I have found hunters with problems sighting in their rifle. Most times because the cheap made mounts came loose.

I also look at smart buying ideas like why buy the cheapest scope it may be a one time in your life time buy. The way I see it is if you are only ever going to get one scope for the rifle, then maybe the next rifle you should buy the best quality. I think back over thirty years of hunting, and see where I could have got my game about 40% more times with having better equipment. Monarch Scope Review
